Bio

Alexandra Halkett was born and raised in Canada. It was the beauty of the Madawaska Valley lakes in Ontario that first inspired her to paint. When she was very young, a family friend bought her a set of tiny watercolour tubes. This gift, combined with the guiding hand of Alexandra's artistic mother, launched her into years of exploring the delicacies of the watercolour medium. In search of a bolder style in later years, Alexandra progressed to acrylics and she has recently added oils to her paintbox.

In January 2024, the jury of the Federation of Canadian Artists accepted Alexandra as an Active Member of the Federation . She continues to study with numerous teachers across Canada and internationally.
